Motherboard Value Calculator
This page is the motherboard market and a value calculator in one. Prices come from the checked offers of this market snapshot; Value ranks them under the priorities you set — or not at all, if you only want the prices.
Start from your processor
The socket and chipset decide which processors a board takes. Filter by them first, and every board you compare fits your build.
Size and memory
Form factor decides which cases it fits; memory type and slots decide which kits it takes and how far it can grow.
Connections that matter
M.2 slots, networking and Wi-Fi sit in the same table, so you can see what a cheaper board leaves out before you buy it.
How to find the best deal
Narrow the market
Use the filters for your budget, socket, chipset and form factor. Every filter shows how many boards are left.
Tune your priorities
Choose a use case, or customise the weights. Grades show whether a board has what the job needs; Value shows how good the price is.
Check the offers — and your own price
Open a board’s offers to compare retailers, or click any price and try the one you were offered: its Value appears against the same market.
Frequently asked questions
How is Value calculated?
Value is a relative score from 0 to 100 under the priorities you choose. Each weighted factor — features, connectivity, price and so on — is compared with the rest of this market, the factors are combined, and the best result in the current view scores 100. Turn priorities off to browse by price alone.
Which motherboard fits my processor?
One with the same socket, and a chipset that supports that processor generation. Filter by socket first, then by chipset.
ATX, Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX?
The form factor sets the board’s size: it must fit your case, and smaller boards usually have fewer slots and connections. Filter by form factor to match your case.
Why do some features show as not tracked?
When a retailer or manufacturer does not state a feature, we show it as unknown rather than guessing that it is missing. Filtering by that feature only shows boards where it is confirmed.
How often are prices updated?
Offers are refreshed as market snapshots; each offer shows when it was checked. Retail prices can change at any time, so confirm the final price on the retailer's site before buying.
