Canadian stores dropped prices on 36 PC parts in our tracker this week. Leave out Amazon (we never show Amazon prices) and 24 remain, almost all of them at Newegg Canada. We checked each one against the same part at other Canadian stores and against our scenario grades.
The short version: Samsung SSDs are the real story this week, one motherboard is a genuine deal, and the biggest graphics card discount is the most expensive way to buy that GPU.
Our weekly video covers the US market; the method is the same, and the news section below applies to Canada too:
All prices are new, in Canadian dollars, checked on October 24, 2026 between 13:00 and 13:45 UTC. They move daily, so each item links to its live page.
How we judge a deal
Five price drops, checked
Trap: ASUS TUF RTX 4080 SUPER — C$2,245
16.4% below its usual price at Newegg Canada, and the lowest TUF 4080 SUPER price we track. It is still the wrong way to buy this GPU:
- The ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 4080 SUPER, the premium version of the same GPU, is C$1,619.99** at the ASUS store. That is **C$625 less.
- An RTX 5070 Ti starts at C$1,599.99 (ASUS store). Our grades put it level with the 4080 SUPER at 1080p and 1440p (S), at 4K (A) and for AI (A), with about 5% less raw gaming performance.
Deal: Samsung 9100 PRO 4TB (with heatsink) — C$1,144.97
PCIe 5.0, 4TB, and 37% below its usual price at Newegg Canada when the drop began; it has fallen a little further since. The odd part: the version with a heatsink is now **C$430 cheaper** than the same drive without one (C$1,574.93). If you want a fast 4TB drive, this is the one to buy this week.
If you just need capacity, plain 2TB SATA and PCIe 3.0 drives start around C$260 (TeamGroup CX2), so a fast PCIe 5.0 drive only makes sense if you will use the speed.
Deal: ASUS TUF Gaming B850-PRO WIFI7 — C$299.99
23.9% below its usual price at Newegg Canada, and the lowest price for this board in our Canadian data. The ASUS store asks C$379.99 for the same board. In the US this week it was the other way round: the cheapest TUF B850 was at ASUS. Same board, different winning store in each country.
Budget AM5 builders should also look at the ASUS B650E MAX GAMING WIFI, C$219.99, also 24% below its usual price at Newegg Canada. ASUS TUF Gaming B850-PRO WIFI7
Trap for gamers: Intel Core i9-14900KS — C$849.99
About 27% below its usual price at Newegg Canada after a further cut this week. For heavy multi-core work it earns an S grade and the price is fair. For gaming it is the wrong chip: the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is **C$619.99**, C$230 less, and gets our top gaming grade (S against the 14900KS’s A). Ryzen 7 9800X3D
The absurd tag of the week: GIGABYTE AORUS RTX 5090 AI BOX — C$10,103.90
36.9% below its usual price at Newegg Canada — on an external RTX 5090 enclosure. A ten-thousand-dollar “discount” is still ten thousand dollars.

The one thing to take into Black Friday
The biggest discount on a GPU this week cost C$625 more than the same GPU at another store. A percentage only tells you how a listing compares with itself. Before you buy, check:
- Is the same part cheaper at another Canadian store today?
- Is a different model better for the same money?
- What is the right grade for how you will actually use it?

How this was measured. Price drops come from our daily list of verified offers that fell at least 10% and C$25 below the same listing’s time-weighted 30-day price; “below its usual price” refers to that listing. Comparisons use the lowest current new price for the same product at other Canadian stores in our data. Amazon listings are excluded from this roundup and Amazon prices are never shown. Some store links on the site are affiliate links; they never change prices, rankings or grades. The video narration uses an AI-generated voice.
