What it is
Buying a graphics card, a processor or a drive means choosing from hundreds of products whose prices change every day, from stores that each show a different slice of the market. The Comparator puts that market in one place — every product we track with its current offers, each dated and sourced — and gives you tools to narrow it down on your own terms:
- Explore a market — filter by what matters, see every offer for a product.
- Set your priorities — Value weighs today’s price against what a product does, using weights you choose. Change them and the order changes; the products do not.
- Compare two to six products, or one pair head to head, under the same priorities and prices.
- Check a price you found elsewhere, or plan an upgrade from what you own — on any product page, and on the home page.
What it is not
It is not a reviewer and it does not award “best” badges. A capability grade (S to F) says how well a product does one job and never looks at price. Value puts price back, under your priorities. A market view says what is actually on offer, where and since when. Keeping those three apart is the whole method — the methodology page explains each number.
Affiliate links pay for the site. They never change a grade, a Value or an order, and a store relationship never moves a product up a list.
Who makes it
The Comparator is a project of DigiMetrics OÜ, an Estonian company building data-driven consumer tools. It started as a graphics-card value calculator in 2025 and now covers graphics cards, processors, SSDs, memory and motherboards in the United States and Canada, in English and Spanish. What changed and when is in the changelog; what comes next is on the roadmap.
